Costs & FITs
Costs of PV
How much does Solar PV cost,
will it fall and how much electricity does it generate?
Installing solar PV costs between £5000 and £7000
per kilowatt. A typical domestic
installation can be anywhere between 1.5 - 4 KWp. An unshaded, south
facing 1 Kilowatt system roof can generate up to 850kWp per year.
The cost of PV and the installations payback period is dependent on the size (Kwp) of the system you choose. The bigger the system, the quicker the payback period.
At present (Dec 2010)
