1. Roof & Panel Condition (if roof access is available)

Visual inspection of roof area and panel layout
Photos of panel condition, mounting clamps, and ballast distribution
Check for any visible damage or structural concerns

 

2. Inverter Inspection

Full visual check of inverter front, sides, stickers, and overall condition
Review of inverter screen and fault history
Confirmation of correct mounting surface (non‑combustible)
Check for required smoke alarms near inverter and in communal areas
MPPT/DC connection inspection

 

3. Mains & Electrical Components

Distribution board (DB) inspection and connection check
AC isolator condition and wiring check
Earth bonding verification
Cable routes and conduit condition
PV junction box presence/condition (if applicable)

 

4. System Testing

AC voltage readings
DC string voltage readings across all inverters/strings
Clamp meter readings
General electrical safety and performance checks

 

5. Documentation & Labelling

Installer details verification
Check for datasheets and manuals
Single Line Diagram (SLD)
Emergency shutdown procedure
Dual supply label
PV on roof label (if present)

 

6. Additional Findings

Identification of faults (e.g., inverter display issues, error codes)
Notes on damaged parts or external issues
Confirmation of whether cleaning or minor works were completed
Any additional engineer observations

 

7. Customer Information (Where Applicable)

Interest in upgrades or monitoring
Referral scheme information
Service satisfaction feedback

 

8. Full Photo Record

Complete photographic evidence of all inspected components
